About Us
EcoJC Pads was born out of compassion and a desire to create lasting change. In 2011, Anita Koroma, Founder of the Girl Child Network Sierra Leone, started advocating for girls’ empowerment and menstrual hygiene management. From humble beginnings, her initiative grew, and in 2014, EcoJC Pads was established as a social enterprise with a bold vision: to provide sustainable menstrual products and empower women economically.
What began with just a few sewing machines in a small room has grown into a full-scale production hub in rural Sierra Leone, employing over 100 women. Through our work, we’ve empowered young girls to stay in school during their periods and given unemployed women the skills and opportunities to thrive.
